Generally if you are a early stage startup in Zurich you have few options to raise money in order to turn your ideas into reality other than University grants or philantropic competitions such as the De Vigier prize. A few successful entrepreneurs want to change that now by starting Zurich’s first seed stage fund – Zeeder. We first heard about this new fund yesterday at the Capital On Stage showcase at CEO Day. The fund focuses on web startups that require up to CHF 100’000 to get started. The partners in the fund include founders from two of Switzerland’s most successful web startups, Luzius Meisser from Wuala (sold to La Cie) and Michael Näf from Doodle (part sold to Tamedia). It’s really great to see that Zurich is finally getting started in the area of seed investing – congrats and good luck Zeeders!
