Zume Life demo at Health 2.0

by admin on November 12, 2008

During the Pharmacy and Medication Management breakout panel, moderated by Jane Sarasohn-Kahn from THINK-Health and one of the most interesting demo sessions of the whole conference, Zume Life CEO Rajiv Mehta gave a very impressive demonstration of their medication management solution which combines hardware and software to help patients better track their medication intake and other daily routines. The example of a diabetes patient that has to take over 30 doses of medication taken at 14 different times of day gave a very clear example of how overwhelming this can become for patients and how badly a solution is required in this area. The hardware device that Zume Life is now pilot testing is called the Zuri and it provides patients with to-do lists and automatic reminder alerts throughout the day. Zume Life has also ported their application to the iPhone which was very impressive.

This was definitely one of the best demo’s of the show and is indeed a very impressive solution.
